Ignore “beer” on the label—this is how Tim re-used the Monkey Shoulder bottles with his craft beer labels (designed by our daughter as a gift) to gift his whiskey blend to friends. You can design your own waterproof, washable labels on Amazon* at this link.
Here’s Tim’s “Secret” Blend!
To Make Your Own Amazing Whiskey Blend
Purchase a 3 liter cask like this one on Amazon*(click image to link). Then follow the easy enclosed instructions to cure it.
Add to the cask (keep empty bottles for the last step!):
—750 ml bottle Monkey Shoulder
—750 ml bottle of Macallan 12YO Sherry Oak
—1.5 liter bottle of Crown Royal Regal Apple (you’ll have a little left over for topping off the cask)
—1 whole vanilla bean sliced lengthwise (you can order it on Amazon*—click for link)
Let sit for two months. Check every few days to see if it needs to be topped off with leftover whiskeys—keep the cask full.
Bottle using your original bottles.
